Spicy Peach Margarita

The gentle heat in these Peach Margaritas comes from steeping sliced jalapeño in a simple syrup. It only takes a short simmer for the jalapeño flavor to infuse the syrup, giving the drink a pleasant, lingering warmth without overpowering the peaches.

To build the cocktail, blend the jalapeño simple syrup with tequila, chopped fresh peaches, fresh lime juice, and Triple Sec (or a similar orange liqueur). On the first sip you’ll notice the sweet, juicy peach; then a subtle jalapeño warmth appears on the finish. The spice balances the sweetness and adds depth to a classic margarita profile. If you prefer more heat, allow the jalapeño to steep longer in the syrup.

Rimming the glasses with coarse salt enhances the flavors — the contrast of salty, sweet, citrus, and heat is delightful. Don’t skip it if you enjoy a traditional margarita finish.

Peach Jalapeño Margarita Recipe Tips

  • Use fresh peaches when possible for the best flavor; frozen peaches also work well and make the drink frosty.
  • Swap Triple Sec for Cointreau or Grand Marnier for a richer orange note.
  • This recipe scales up easily if you want to make a pitcher for a crowd.

Make Ahead

The jalapeño simple syrup keeps in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Store it in a clean jar and strain out the jalapeño slices after cooling.
