Keto Chocolate Brownies: Low-Carb, Sugar-Free Recipe

Are you looking for easy keto dessert recipes? Your search ends here.

If you thought brownies were off-limits on a ketogenic diet, think again. This quick and easy keto brownie recipe uses simple pantry ingredients: eggs, almond flour, butter, cocoa powder, a low-carb sweetener (Swerve), vanilla, and a touch of baking powder. The result is a rich, moist chocolate treat that satisfies cravings while keeping carbs low.

These homemade keto brownies are far lower in sugar than traditional brownies and rely on healthy fats and almond flour for texture and moisture. The almond flour creates a tender crumb without wheat flour, and the butter and eggs keep the brownies dense and fudgy—perfect for anyone following keto, low-carb, or diabetic-friendly diets.

How to Make Keto Brownies (Simple, Fudgy, and Fast)

Making these keto brownies is straightforward: combine the ingredients, pour the batter into an 8×8 pan lined with parchment or lightly greased, and bake. The batter produces a brownie that is moist in the center and slightly set around the edges. Allow them to cool briefly so they finish setting and slice cleanly.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter (cooled)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Swerve (or preferred granulated keto sweetener)
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • Handful of chopped walnuts or sugar-free chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk eggs, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir in the sweetener until dissolved.
  • Add the almond flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Fold together until smooth. Stir in nuts or sugar-free chips if using.
  • Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake about 25 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is still slightly moist.
  • Allow brownies to cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes before slicing. Store airtight for several days or refrigerate for longer freshness.

Notes

Tips: For a fudgier center, slightly underbake and let the brownies finish setting as they cool. Use finely ground almond flour for the best texture. Swap Swerve for another preferred keto sweetener, adjusting sweetness to taste.
