Why I Love This Chocolate-Covered Popcorn
Popcorn is my go-to snack. I reach for it nearly every night — it’s light, crunchy and endlessly satisfying. Most nights I keep it simple and enjoy plain popped corn, but there are times I want something a little more special or a quick treat to set out for guests. This chocolate-covered popcorn recipe fits that bill every time.
Sweet, salty and addictive, this snack disappears fast — so make a big batch if you want to share.

Chocolate-Covered Popcorn

Ingredients
- 1 cup yellow unpopped popcorn (yields about 6–8 quarts popped)
- 12 oz white almond bark
- ½ cup honey roasted peanuts (optional)
- ½ cup milk chocolate chips
Instructions
-
Pop the popcorn using an air popper or your preferred method. An air popper works well because it doesn’t need oil; the almond bark will add plenty of flavor. Place the popped popcorn in a very large bowl and add the peanuts, if using.
-
Melt the white almond bark in a glass bowl in 30-second increments, stirring between intervals until smooth. Pour the melted bark over the popcorn and peanuts and toss gently until everything is evenly coated. Spread the coated popcorn onto two sheet pans to cool slightly.
-
Melt the milk chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until fully melted and smooth.
-
Drizzle the melted milk chocolate over the popcorn to your liking. Allow the popcorn to cool and set for about 10 minutes, then break into clusters and serve.
