I used a simple tote from IKEA and filled it with a bottle of chocolate milk, a carton of ice cream, and a soft throw blanket. A cozy blanket can make resting and napping much more comfortable while someone recovers. I also created a printable card to tuck into the basket.

An alternate idea is a body pillow—great for extra support while sleeping or resting. We sent body pillows with plush covers and ice cream to two relatives after their extractions, and same-day delivery made it easy and convenient for them.
To attach the card neatly to a blanket, I cut two small slits in the card and threaded a ribbon through them. Then I wrapped the ribbon around the blanket and tied it at the back so the card stayed in place and the bundle looked tidy.
